This Papalotl [pah-pah-loh-tl] or Butterfly design represents transformation.
The Paplotl goes through many stages of transformation during it's lifecycle, from egg, lava, catapillar, and caccoon before reaching it's final form as the beautiful butterfly.
These lifecycles are symbolic of the cycles we ourselves face, as we transform into our truest selves.
